Well…we have resisted for almost six months, but have finally decided to allow paid advertising on the site. We really didn’t want to go that route, but we are getting a lot of e-mails from patients in need of caregivers and physicians. The folks here are thinking that if we provide the basic listings free of charge that more caregivers and physicians will add themselves to the locator tool. And the paid advertising will help us pay back the patient who funded the site…and allow for us to do more community related support activities in the future. So…if you start to see some advertising, that is why. Wish us luck! And keep those basic listings coming – because they are always free from here on out.
