The Law In Maine:  From 1999 to Present
History	In December 1999, Maine passed the Maine Medical Marijuana Act of 1998, making marijuana legal for medicinal use in alleviating certain medical conditions.
Amendments	The “Act to Establish the Maine Medical Marijuana Act” petition was submitted on January 21, 2009 and validated by the Secretary of State on February 23, 2009.
